How it works…

We know your priority is playing football to improve your wellbeing, so we focus on mind over body. We also encourage you to make changes to your physical health, to help improve your mental health.

Once you join, your league coach will be in touch to assign you to a team. To keep costs to a minimum and offer the best value, your league is managed by an elected player facilitator, who is trained to offer you the best wellbeing advice.

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to win on and off the pitch. You can score points for your team by maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The points you earn are then added to those you earn on the pitch. To keep things competitive, all new joining players should have a BMI of over 28.

On the pitch:

  • Win is three points

  • Draw is one point

  • Loss is zero points

Off the pitch:

You are against the opposition both on and off the pitch. We’re not solely focused on weight loss, but healthy eating is proven to improve mental wellbeing. You will also be asked to attend a weekly team talk, and if everyone does, your team will be awarded an additional one point, added to the league table.
